Perfect! I do not have to make special adjustments on the EV value in Program mode (as in my departed HS25EXR camera.) This Canon superzoom easily takes automatically correct exposures of the moon! It is very light and it may take some practice to shoot straight at the moon. You need to prop it with a solid wall or against a vertical post to avoid camera shakes. The OIS (optical image stabilizer) helps a lot in taking these photos.
The moon will reach Full Moon phase on December 17,2013 at 17:29 PT.
