The EVF of the Canon SX50HS camera may be unfocused when bought from the store. The camera clerk may help you with this problem, but if you bought it from an online store, there is a simple fix.
To the left side of the EVF is a diopter adjustment wheel. Rotate it upwards or downwards until the eye is comfortable with the sharpest displayed finder image.
